Swanstock: Fine Art Photography, 1998Hard cover, 198 p., English, 29*29 cm.Swanstock: Fine Art Photography is a photography book published in the late 1990s that presents a selection from the Swanstock archive.Swanstock was a New York–based fine art photography agency that represented photographers working across art, editorial, and documentary fields. The agency was known for focusing on personal style, atmosphere, and visual storytelling rather than commercial stock imagery. The book includes photographs by artists such as Sally Gall, Jim Goldberg, Barbara Kasten, David Levinthal, Keith Carter, Richard Ross, among others. The images range from landscapes and portraits to conceptual and documentary-influenced works, reflecting the variety of approaches within fine art photography at the time.As Swanstock no longer exists as an independent agency, this book remains an important record of its archive and the photographers it represented.
