A signet seal made in the 1930s by goldsmith and royal purveyor Ernst Svedbom. The pewter column rests on a brass base, topped with a double-headed sphinx, a nod to the Art Deco era’s interest in ancient Egyptian motifs. Clean, architectural lines throughout, with the sphinx as the piece’s main decorative detail. Works equally well as a small sculptural object on a desk or shelf.
